About
HD Press
HD Press publishes large-print puzzle books made for people who actually love puzzles: clear grids, generous type, and themes worth spending an afternoon with. We also run a free daily puzzle site: nine puzzles every day, no download, no subscription required.
Our mission
Comfort is part of the product
Great puzzles should be a pleasure to look at and a joy to solve. Too many puzzle books use cramped grids and tiny print that make solving feel like a strain rather than a pleasure. We started HD Press to fix that: big cells, generous type, and layouts designed for reading comfort at any age.
We believe the best puzzles are ones you can pick up for five minutes or settle in with for an afternoon. Every puzzle we publish, whether in print or online, is designed with that in mind.

The books
Theme-first large-print books
Our puzzle books are published in a large-print format with 100+ puzzles per volume. Each book focuses on a single theme, from Bible word searches and Ancient Egypt to birds, gardening, and the American Civil War.
They're printed in the UK, with most current titles available on Amazon and unreleased titles clearly marked. A free sample from every book is playable online in our themed word search collection.
What's next
Editorially tightening the next layer
We’ve now started publishing web crosswords and we’ll keep tightening the editorial bar before they join the daily rotation.
Large-print crossword books are still on the roadmap too.
